'Tis the season for traveling to see extended family and loved ones for the holidays. Let’s face it at one point or another you are packing everyone in the car like sardines and going to grandma's house for the weekend for some holiday cheer. Which results in a long weekend away from the gym.
Good news though - CrossFit can be done anywhere with no equipment necessary! Let CrossFit Lōzen help you stay fit this holiday season even when traveling! So when you go back for that second cup of hot cocoa (and a handful of marshmallows if you’re like me) you can enjoy it just as much as the first!
Let’s get started with a few body weight workouts, no equipment required... GET AFTER IT! ONE:
3 Rounds for Time: 800 m Run 50 Air Squats TWO:
10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 Burpees Sit-ups
THREE: 8 Rounds for Time: 10 Push-ups 10 Tuck-ups 10 Walking Lunges
Below are a few more workouts that require minimal equipment or can be done at a local gym (i.e YMCA) FOUR:
For Time: 100 Double Unders/ 200 Single Unders 75 Push-ups 50 Air Squats 25 Burpees FIVE:
Tabata (20 second on/ 10 second off for 8 rounds) Air Squats Pull-ups Sit-ups SIX:
50-40-30-20-10 Kettlebell swings Sit-ups SEVEN:
8 Rounds for Time: 12 Goblet Squats 6 Pull-ups EIGHT:
10 minute AMRAP (As many rounds as possible) 30 Double Unders/ 60 Single Unders 10 Push-ups 10 Walking lunges
There you have it... Now you have NO excuse not to stay active while traveling this holiday season! Always remember a five minute workout can be just as effective as a class WOD, it’s all about INTENSITY!
